Shirley (Newman) Pfau,

89, Phoenix, AZ formerly

of Minot, passed away

May 29, 2022 in an assist-

ed living facility.

Shirley was born in

Minot, North Dakota July

21st, 1932 to Elmer and

Annie (Holmes) Newman.

Shirley grew up and at-

tended school in Minot.

She married Lavern Pfau

on October 21st, 1951.

Shirley and Lavern had

three children and they

spent a lot of time with

close family. Shirley en-

joyed baking and playing

cards and marbles. She

greatly enjoyed taking car

rides to view the local

wildlife.

Shirley is survived by

her children, Richard

(Becky) Pfau, Fargo, ND,

Terry (Nancy) Pfau,

Phoenix, AZ, and Karla

(Chuck) Buschke, Mead-

view, AZ; 5 grandchil-

dren; 6

great-grandchildren and

brother Dennis (Janice)

Newman of Phoenix, AZ

along with numerous

nieces and nephews.

Shirley was preceded in

death by her parents El-

mer and Annie Newman,

brothers Kenneth New-

man, Maynard Newman,

Lester Newman and sis-

ters Adeline Schlag and

Betty Pierce.
