Vickie A. Ellis, 66, of

East Grand Forks, passed

away Friday, January 14,

2022 surrounded by her

family at home.

Vickie Ann Ellis was

born October 15, 1955 in

Williston, ND to the late

Alton and Theresa (Al-

lard) Ellis. She grew up in

Towner, ND and graduat-

ed from high school there

in 1973. On March 14,

1975 she married Leland

Fosness in Towner, ND.

They were blessed with

three children. On Sep-

tember 14, 2001, she mar-

ried Conrad “Billy”

Swearson in Towner, ND.

Vickie worked for the US

Post Office in Leeds, ND

and Minot, ND, and

worked in environmental

services for Altru Hospital

in Grand Fork, where she

retired from in 2020. She

loved the outdoors espe-

cially anything to do with

water. Her greatest joy

however was spoiling her

seven grandchildren.

Survivors include her

children Cameron (Scott)

Jacobson of Grand Forks,

ND, Denver (Jessica) Fos-

ness of Towner, ND, and

LeRae (Joe) Bachmeier of

East Grand Forks, MN;

siblings Joni (Ronald)

Wolf of Kindred, ND,

Kerry Ellis of Minot, ND,

Deanna (Ray) Miller of

Sawyer, ND, Shelly

Holmes of Parshall, ND,

and Ronald Ellis of

Bottineau, ND; grandchil-

dren Tucker and Melanie

Fosness of Towner, ND,

Cayden and Denver

Jacobson of Grand Forks,

ND, and Kinley, Brennan,

and Ellery Bachmeier of

East Grand Forks, MN;

and many nieces and

nephews.

She was preceded in

death by her parents Al-

ton and Theresa Ellis,

brother Bryan Ellis, and

brother-in-law Steve

Holmes
