Lorelei Sveum

Lorelei Sveum, 93, of

Highland, CA, formerly of

Rugby, ND, died Nov. 12,

after a brief illness. Born

Lorelei Sebelius, she was

raised in Rugby and York,

and attended Minot

Teachers College becom-

ing a RN. In 1949, she

married Rolland Sveum of

Rugby. Their marriage

lasted 49 years until his

death in 1998.

Lorelei was a practicing

RN for over 40 years. She

enjoyed gardening and

was well known for her

beautiful roses. She also

played the piano, liked to

hike and camp, and was

active in several clubs in-

cluding the Sons of Nor-

way.

She and Rolland trav-

eled extensively

throughout the Unites

States as well as destina-

tions around the world.

Lorelei and Rolland had

3 children, Gary (wife Su-

san), Ron (dec), and Pau-

lette. They loved being

grandparents to their 3

grandchildren and 6 great

grandchildren.

She will be interred at

Riverside National

Cemetery with Rolland.
