Linda Johnson, 74, Vel-
va, ND, died Thursday,
November 25, 2021 in a
Minot hospital.
Linda Louise Holisky
was born on December 8,
1946, a daughter to Fred
and Alice (Olsen) Holisky
in Bottineau, ND. She was
raised and educated in the
Newburg, ND area, where
she graduated from
Newburg High School in
1964.
On October 19, 1968,
Linda was united in mar-
riage to Jerry Pitcher in
Bottineau, ND. They
made their home in
Backoo, ND before mov-
ing to Rugby, ND, where
together they raised their
three children Wendy,
Mandy and Jeff. The cou-
ple later divorced.
Linda began her em-
ployment with the hospi-
tal in Bottineau, ND as
nurse aide. She later be-
came a cook at the nurs-
ing home in Cavalier, ND.
After moving to Rugby
she worked as a cook at
the hospital. While living
in Minot she became a
CNA at Manorcare Health
Services and later worked
in the Activities depart-
ment there until her re-
tirement.
On May 5, 1990, Linda
was united in marriage to
Eugene Johnson. They
made their home in
Minot, prior to moving to
Rugby. Eugene passed
away in October of 2016.
In 2020, Linda moved to
Velva to be closer to rela-
tives.
Linda enjoyed baking
and decorating cakes,
making lefse watching
game shows and was an
avid collector of bells. She
also enjoyed playing
bingo, doing word puzzles
and reading. She will be
fondly remembered for
the way she would greet
you with a hug! She was a
loving wife, mother,
grandmother, sister and
friend and will be deeply
missed.

Children: Wendy Pitch-
er, Mandy Pitcher (Com-
panion Richard Schmidt),
Jeff (Savana) Pitcher; com-
panion Jerry Pitcher; Four
grandchildren: Kenzie,
Katie, Karma, Paiton; Si-
blings: Sharon (Marvin)
Monson, Jim Holisky;
Several nieces, nephews
and cousins also survive.
Linda was preceded in
death by: her parents,
husband Eugene Johnson,
and a brother Richard.

November 30, 2021 from
4 until 6 pm at
Thompson-Larson Fun-
eral Home, Velva.
