Stuart Weigel, 58, of

Rugby, passed away Oc-

tober 30, 2021, at Trinity

Hospital, Minot. He lived

a full life of 58 good years,

as he would say.

A Celebration of Life

was held at 11:00 AM on

Monday, November 8,

2021, at Weigel Funeral

Home, Mandan, ND with

Pastor Phil Leer as offici-

ant. Burial was at the

North Dakota Veterans

Cemetery.

Visitation was held

Monday, November 8,

2021, from 10:00-11:00

AM at Weigel Funeral

Home, Mandan.

Stuart was born on Sep-

tember 6, 1963, in Garris-

on, ND to Lila and Donald

Weigel.

He attended North

Shore High School from

1976-1981. After graduat-

ing, he went on to attend

BJC in Bismarck where he

studied auto mechanics.

He married Jeanette on

June 16, 1984, with whom

he had two children Mick-

ey in 1983 and Brian in

1991. He and Jeanette

purchased a house in

Rugby on December 1,

1989, where he resided

until his passing.

Stuart was enlisted in

the Army from 1984-1987

where he worked as a Ma-

terial, Storage, and Han-

dling Specialist. During

his time in the Army,

Stuart received many

letters of commendation

from his superiors, recom-

mending promotions for

outstanding performance.

Stuart was a hard work-

er who was loved by

many. He greatly enjoyed

the summers with his

family at the Deep Water

Bay cabin where so many

memories were made. He

loved to water ski, play

frisbee and hacky sack,

and enjoy a beer by the

bonfire at night.

Stuart is survived by

his sons, Mickey (Jen-

nifer) Schaf of Lincoln,

Brian Schaf of Bismarck;

three brothers, Robert of

Mandan, Dean of

Bismarck, Shawn (Jen-

nifer) of Minot; two sis-

ters, Renee (Wayne) Kla-

bunde of Garrison, Debbie

Lee (Jeff) Bruhn of Rock-

place; and eleven nieces

and nephews.

He is preceded in death

by his parents, Lila and

Donald Weigel; and

sister-in-law, Sherri

Weigel.
