Jamie Lynn (Wangler)

Modine passed away on

Friday, October 22, 2021

at the age of 44 years

under the care of her fam-

ily and hospice in Rugby,

North Dakota. She was

born on December 24,

1976 in Rugby, North

Dakota to Richard and

Rita (Hilzendager)

Wangler.

Jamie was the youngest

of eight children and was

raised in Rugby. She gra-

duated from Rugby High

School in 1995. She con-

tinued her education at

Bismarck State College for

two years. On September

8, 2001, she was united in

marriage to Richard

Modine. They have two

beautiful children, a son,

Bradyn and daughter, Jae-

lyn. The couple lived in

Minnesota and Rugby for

a time before making their

home in Alexander, North

Dakota. Jamie was lucky

to be a stay at home mom

and raise their children.

She would light up when-

ever she talked about her

kids and their

activities – she was so

proud of them. She was

proud when Bradyn gra-

duated from BCT and AIT

for the National Guard.

Both Bradyn and Jaelyn

were active in sports and

Jamie loved to watch

them play. Another

proud moment was when

Jaelyn was elected Stu-

dent Council President of

her school.

Jamie enjoyed camping,

playing darts, spending

time with family and

friends and enjoyed riding

the side by side on the

trails in South Dakota.

She especially loved

watching scary movies

and doing crossword puz-

zles. She was a nice, kind

and warm person with a

beautiful smile that will

be missed by so many.

Jamie is survived by

her husband; children,

Bradyn and Jaelyn; her

parents; sisters, Jodi

(John) Lange and Pam

(Steve) Bourcy; brothers,

Dean (Lauree) Wangler,

John (Lori) Wangler, Rod

(Crystal) Wangler and Ron

(Barb) Wangler; several

nieces, nephews; other re-

latives and friends. She

was preceded in death by

a sister, Deannea Cox; her

grandparents and several

aunts and uncles.

Memorial services were

held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday,

Oct. 26 at the Anderson

Funeral Home in Rugby

with private family burial

in the Balta Cemetery.

Rev. Nathan Steen, offi-

ciating.
