Wayne E. Busch passed

away on September 18,

2021, at Presbyterian

Manor in Newton, KS.

Wayne was born in Rug-

by, ND on March 9, 1933

to John and Mary Busch.

He finished his education

at Minot State Teachers

College and began his

teaching career in Mott,

ND in 1961. He spent his

entire career there as a

junior high science teach-

er along with coaching

physical education, driver

education, and was prin-

cipal of the junior high.

He was deeply involved

at Trinity Lutheran

Church, serving as

president, treasurer, ush-

er, teacher, and choir

member. He continued to

support his church even

after moving to Omaha to

be closer to his family.

Wayne was preceded in

death by: Joyce, his wife

of 44 years, his parents,

two sisters, a brother and

granddaughter, Beth

Lemke.

He is survived by: his

loving daughters: Sharon

(Stan) Lemke, Sandra (Da-

vid) Kern, and Charlene

(Stan) Herauf; six

grandchildren: Dr.

Stephanie Kern Schutte

(Kyle), Dr. Jennifer Kern

Tracy, Dr. Alysia Kern

Lovgren (Jimmy), Amy

Lemke, Carrie Lemke, and

Derek Herauf; seven

great-grandchildren:

Melanie, Tyler, Ryan, and

Cody Schutte, Brandon

and Mariah Tracy; sisters

Betty Nelson and Janice

Knutson; and brothers Jer-

ry Busch and Philip

Busch.

Any memorials may be

sent to Wayne’s favorite

charities: Special Olym-

pics and St. Jude

Children’s Hospital. A

graveside service will be

at 1:00 p.m., October 20,

2021 at Mott Cemetery.
