Helen was born on Oc-
tober, 19, 1928 at
Fillmore, ND, the
daughter of Peter and
Rena (Hager) Wentz. She
moved with her family
several times, attending
grade school at Selz, ND
and Orrin, ND and gra-
duating High School at
Balta, ND in June, 1947.
Helen attended college in
Minot, then taught at a
country school.
Helen married Louis
Bickler on June 1949 at
Balta, ND. From this un-
ion, they had 7 children,
Michael, Annita, Yvonne,
Raphael, Steven, Louis
and Peter. Helen worked
on the family dairy farm
from 1950’s to 1980’s. She
also worked at the Balta
Public School as an assis-
tant cook for over 10
years. In 1984, Helen
moved to Minot, ND
where she worked at
Domestic Violence Crisis
Center for almost 20
years.
Helen loved visiting her
children, grandchildren
and great grandchildren.
She enjoyed collecting
Salt and Pepper shakers,
decorative plates, horse-
back riding, playing soli-
taire, tulips, and bird
watching.
Helen is survived by
her seven children,

and Michelle Bickler;

She was preceded in
death by her parents,
Peter and Rena Wentz;
and sister Rose Wagner.
Funeral services will be
held at Little Flower
Catholic Church in Minot
at 10:30 am on Saturday,
July 17, 2021. The service
will be livestreamed for
the public to view and

Burial will be at Rosehill
Memorial Park in Minot.
Visitation will be held at
Thompson-Larson Fun-
eral Home on Friday, July
16, 2021 from 5 pm to 7
pm with a Rosary service
