Terrill Brenno born Au-
gust 2, 1950 at Good
Samaritan Hospital in
Rugby, North Dakota died
on June 20, 2021 at Trini-
ty hospital in Minot,
North Dakota. Parents
were Doreen and Herman
Brenno. Terrill was raised
in Fillmore, N.D. where
he attended school until
grade 8. He chose to at-
tend Rugby High School.
While in High School he
was privileged to be part
of the rock band The
Wonders of Confusion. He
treasured every moment
of the time he spent with
the band. After High
School he attended the
University of North Dako-
ta where he met his wife
Gerry. They married in
1972. After earning his
degree Terry and Gerry
moved to Devils Lake,
N.D. where he worked as
a Vocational Rehabilita-
tion Counselor. In this
time the Brenno family
expanded to five adding
three wonderful children:
Jennifer, Jon, and Jared.
Terry continued his work
helping others through his
employment with Lake
Region Corporation work-
ing with adults with spe-
cial needs. He eventually
was appointed Chief Exe-
cutive Officer. After
several years there he de-
cided to become a Nurs-
ing Home Administrator.
Terry and Gerry moved
back to Rugby in 2004 and
he became the Nursing
Home Administrator at
Dunseith Community
Nursing home and
worked there until his
death. He strived to en-
sure the safety and happi-
ness of the nursing home
residents.
Terry continued with
his music by connecting
with former Rugby musi-
cians forming the band
Selective Memory which
was a great source of
pride for him.
Terry is survived by his
wife Gerry, daughter Jen-
nifer Ivers and grandson
Evan, son Jared, his wife
Katie and grandson
Matthew. He will join his
son Jon and dog Roy. He
will be missed by many —
he was a force to be
reckoned with.
Memorial services will
be held at 2:00 p.m. on
Saturday, June 17, 2021 at
the Rugby Eagles Club,
followed by lunch, fellow-
ship and music. Donovan
Foughty, Officiating. Buri-
al will take place on Sun-
day in the Persilla Watts
Cemetery, Rugby.
