Daniel Grossman, 77, of
Esmond, ND passed away
Saturday, June 5, 2021 at
CHI St. Alexius in
Bismarck, ND. A Celebra-
tion of Life will be held at
2:00 PM Saturday, June
19, 2021 at the Grossman
Family Farm – 3871 32nd
Avenue NE Esmond, ND
58332. In lieu of flowers,

Daniel was born Febru-
ary 20, 1944 to Joe and
Agnes (Wolfe) Grossman
in Rugby, ND. He attend-
ed school until the eighth
grade, before going to
work on his
grandmother’s farm.
Daniel was united in mar-
riage to Sharon Irene Bur-
gess on October 12, 1963
at the St. Williams Cathol-
ic Church in Maddock,
ND. The couple moved to
Towner, ND where they
lived for two years before
returning to Esmond.
Daniel began his 42
year career with the Mill-
wright Union in Grand
Forks and most recently
with Local #548 Union in
St. Paul, MN. Daniel and
Sharon lived on a farm
west of Esmond until Sep-
tember 1988 before
spending a short time in
Balta, ND. They then
moved to their farm west
of Esmond in 1989 where
they resided, ranching
cattle and helping family
in need. Sharon passed
away September 2017.
Daniel loved spending
time with his family and
friends, but especially en-
joyed time spent with his
grandchildren and
great-grandchildren. He
also enjoyed playing Pi-
nochle, Double Rummy
and watching Netflix and
wrestling. Daniel was a
great man who could
liven up any conversa-
tion. He has left many
spirit seeds of passion,
hard work and the impor-
tance of family. He will
be greatly missed by all.
Daniel is survived by
his children, Susanne
Wentz of Harvey, ND,
Shirley (Brian) Lewis of
Greenbush, MN, Tami
Wentz of Rugby, ND and
Tim (Linda) Grossman of
Harvey, ND; 10 grandchil-
dren, Michael, Danelle,
Josh, Valerie, Derek, Jessi-
ca, Michelle, Nicholas,
Levi and Daniel; 3
great-great grandchildren,
Harper Wentz, Jaxon Ger-
main and Theo Wentz; si-
blings, Ronald Grossman
of Esmond, ND, Brian
Grossman of Grand Forks,
ND and Vickie Axtman of
Fargo, ND; numerous
nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in
death by his wife of 53,
years, Sharon; parents, Joe
and Agnes Grossman;
granddaughter, Aleisha
Alleyne; son-in-law, Ron
Wentz; brothers, Gary
Grossman and Marvin
Grossman; special
nephew, Brad Cichos.
