Ruth M. (Larson) Skager
Mar. 21, 1942 – Mar. 9, 2021
Ruth M. (Larson) Skager
was a caring wife, mother,
grandmother, sister, and
friend. She left this world
on March 9, 2021 at age
78. Services and Burial
will take place later in the
spring.
She was born on the
family farm in Berwick,
ND, to Leonard and Mar-
guerite Larson on March
21, 1942. After graduating
from Rugby High School,
Ruth moved to Minot,
ND, where she met her
husband, Charles “Chuck”
Skager. Together, they
had three sons: Trey, Kiel
and Seth.
Ruth loved spending
time with family and read
countless books in her
lifetime. She was proud to
be born and raised in
North Dakota and rarely
traveled far from home.
She spent numerous
hours researching Larson
and Skager family his-
tories, documenting fami-
ly genealogy and uncover-
ing relatives from genera-
tions removed. She
played guitar and key-
boards and deeply en-
joyed music. It was com-
mon to hear her singing or
humming a song. Every-
one knew Ruth as a kind,
generous and giving per-
son who loved to laugh
and visit over a cup of
coffee. Candy and sweets
were never far from reach.
