Barbara B. Keller, 92 of
Harvey passed away
Thursday, February 4,
2021 at her home sur-
rounded by her loving
husband Adam of 73
years and her children.
Visitation was at the St.
Cecilia Catholic Church in
Harvey on Sunday from 3
p.m. concluding at 5:30
p.m. Prayer services will
also be on Sunday at 4
p.m. at the St. Cecilia
Catholic Church.
The Funeral Mass was
held at St. Anthony
Catholic Church, Selz on
Monday, February 8, 2021
at 10:30 a.m. The family
requests CDC guidelines
including wearing masks
be followed at the visita-
tion, prayer service and
the mass.
Burial was in the St.
Cecilia Catholic Cemetery,
Harvey.
Barbara was born on
April 23, 1928 in Harvey
to Peter and Annie
(Richter) Wack. She grew
up on the family farm and
attended school in
Wellsburg. She contin-
ued working on the family
farm with one of her jobs
being herding cattle on
horseback. Barbara was
also a nurse’s aide at the
St. Aloisius Hospital in
Harvey.
Barbara met the love of
her life, Adam J. Keller at
St. Anthony’s Church in
Selz. They had their first
date at Festival Hall in
Fessenden in 1946. They
danced the night away
and continued to dance
for the next 75 years. Bar-
bara and Adam were mar-
ried on January 5, 1948 at
the St. Anthony’s Catholic
Church in Selz. They
were happily married and
celebrated their 73rd an-
niversary in 2021.
Barbara was a member
of St. Anthony Catholic
Church and was a
member of the Catholic
Order of Foresters and
Christian Mothers. Sew-
ing, fishing, baking and
cooking were her favorite
pastimes. She passed on
her homemade chicken
soup and fried chicken re-
cipes to her children and
grandchildren, which
they always requested
when they came to visit.
She is survived by her
husband, Adam of 73
years; children, Peggy
(Charlie) Bauslaugh of
Harvey; Tammy (Larry)
Krien of Bismarck; Tom
(Diane) Keller of Harvey,
Debbie Bentz (Kelley
Chamberlain) of White
Bird, ID, Tim (Kathey)
Keller of Harvey, Rick
(Sandra) Keller of Cassel-
ton; Lisa (Ed) James of
Grand Forks; 19
grandchildren; 23
great-grandchildren; 1
step granddaughter; 2 step
great-grandchildren; sis-
ters, Anne Axtman of Har-
vey, Sharon Held of Han-
kinson, ND and Lorraine
Richter of Kent, WA; two
sisters-in-law, Alice Wack
of Esmond and Helen Axt-
man of Billings, MT;
many nieces and
nephews.
Barbara was preceded
in death by her parents;
son Ronald A. Keller;
parents; Peter and Annie
(Richter) Wack and si-
blings, Kathryn Wack, Al-
bert Wack, Lena Wein-
mann, Mary Volk, Jimmy
Wack, Regina Kessler and
her twin sister Helen at
