Curtis Wayne Brandt

Curtis Wayne Brandt of
Easton, MD formally of
Rugby, ND passed away
on December 10, 2020
after a short battle with
cancer. He was 70.
Curtis was born No-
vember 29, 1950, the son
of Melvin and Joyce Anne
(Fjellanger) Brandt in
Rugby, ND.
Curtis was raised and
educated in Rugby, ND
and graduated from Rug-
by High School in 1968.
Curtis and his siblings
were raised by his Mother
on his Uncle Raymond’s
farm after the death of
their father.
Curtis was previously
married and had four chil-
dren. During this 14-year
union they lived in North
Dakota. During this time
Curtis served 4 years in
the Aviation Branch of the
United States Navy in
Maryland. He was honor-
ably discharged after four
years in the service.
After his divorce, Curtis
moved to Virginia where
he worked for the Fairfax
Hospital System in the
Biomedical Engineering
Department for eight
years. Curtis left Fairfax
Hospital and joined the
Biomedical Department at
Easton Memorial Hospital
in Easton, MD. Curtis re-
tired from the Easton
Memorial Hospital in
2013.
He had his own
Biomedical Engineering
business while working
with a dozen surgery
centers in Easton for over
20 years. He was an avid
hobbyist of Photography.
Curtis enjoyed photo-
graphing wildlife, events,
Skipjacks, and later in
life, the love of Aviation
at the Easton Airport. He
also enjoyed shooting
with groups of Photogra-
phy Clubs and Friends.
He leaves behind his
loving wife, Christina
(Stone) Brandt Easton,
MD; his children: Curtis
(Carissa), Chad, Christo-
pher (Kristen), and Chris-
tina (Jon); grandchildren:
Alli, Maddie, Ben, Kay-
dence, Isaiah, Adrian, and
James; his siblings: David
(Charlotte), Steven (Di-
ane), and Beverly (Harry);
and nieces, nephews, and
several first cousins.
Curtis was preceded in
death by his parents, Mel-
vin and Joyce Anne (Fjel-
langer) Brandt,
grandparents Carl and
Olava (Gronli) Brandt,
and John and Anne
(Schaie) Fjellanger.
A Memorial Service
will be held at a later date.
