Alice Martha Heintz, the daughter of Catherine Adam was born on May 29, 1935. She died at the age of 84 on Monday, February 10, 2020 surrounded by her loving six daughters at the Heart of America Medical Center, Rugby, ND.
Alice was raised in the Drake and Orrin area and received her education in a rural school in the area. Following her schooling, Alice was united in marriage to Tony Heintz on June 18, 1952 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Orrin, ND. Alice and Tony loved to dance and were an amazing couple on and off the dance floor. The couple made their home on the family farm and were blessed with six daughters. Tony and Alice were very loving devoted parents. Alice was always working alongside Tony on the farm. She was a lifelong member of the Christian Mothers. Alice was often a volunteer at various activities in Pierce
County. Tony and Alice retired from farming in 2008 and moved to Rugby. Alice loved to do crafts, sewing, playing bingo, cards and shaking dice. She loved to do puzzles with her grandkids.
Alice loved to visit with friends and neighbors.
She will be deeply missed by her family; daughters Cindy (Merlyn Moen) Heintz of Rugby, Karen (Daniel) Feland of Bismarck, Corinne (Lonnie) Hager of West Fargo, Miranda (Mark) Hoffert of Bismarck, Vanessa (Paul) Jodock of Fosston, MN and Toni (Kevin) Muffenbier of West Fargo. Grandchildren, Natalie (Brett) Rehder & Braxton of Moorhead, Chad (Jessica) Hager & Andrew and Brooks of Fairbault, MN, Danielle Feland of Hettinger, Troy (Rochell) Hoffert & Emma, Hunter and Paxton of Bismarck, Kyle Hager of West Fargo, Anton (Brita) Goss & Kaivo and Elina of Jamestown, Casie (Douglas) Bradford & Jameson and Oakley of Bismarck, Logan Goss, Mark (Fiancee Alexis Baker) Goss, Taylor, Jordan & Jesse Muffenbier of West Fargo. One sister Linda (Gary) Rehberg, of Bismarck. Two brothers-in-law Christ (Judy) Heintz and Martin Heintz both of Rugby and sister-in-law Theresa Streifel of Great Falls, MT.
Preceded in death by her husband Tony (in 2012), a daughter in infancy, sister Gloria Lingohr and parents.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 15 at Little Flower Catholic Church in Rugby with burial in the church cemetery. Father Franklin Miller, Celebrant.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary and vigil prayer service beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Rugby. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. There will be no reviewal at the church.
