Lyle “Bud” Lima

Lyle ‘Bud’ Lima, 79, Wolford, passed away Friday, September 20, 2019 at the Towner County Medical Center in Cando. A Family Service will be held at the Wolford Cemetery at a later date.
Lyle Vern Lima, son of Tom and Mabel (Allickson) Lima, was born July 23, 1940 at Rugby. He grew up on the family farm near Wolford and attended the nearby Juniata Township country school through the eighth grade. He then attended Wolford High School, graduating in 1958.
In October of 1961, Lyle joined the National Guard and was called to active duty during the Berlin Crisis. Following his honorable discharge, he returned to the Wolford area and on February 8, 1964 he was united in marriage to Jeraldine Ness at Rugby. Lyle and Jerri made their home in the Wolford area where he farmed and drove truck.
Lyle enjoyed hunting and snowmobiling, and he especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jerri; his daughters, Lori (Mike) Miron of Rugby, Kara (Jason) Hageness of Bismarck, Kindra Lima-Hageness of Libby, MT and Heather Lima of Minot; 8 grandchildren,
Kalia Borgen, Kyle (Stephanie) Borgen, Haylee Miron, Paige Hageness, Kennedy Hageness, Brooke (Seth) Soley, Alexis Hageness and Khalyn Hageness; 4 great-grandchildren, Konner Borgen, Sophia Borgen, Kinley Borgen and Harlow Soley; and one brother, Donnely Lima of Wolford.
Lyle was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Bernell Leitzke.
