Ruben Lindeman, 99, Harvey, ND died Friday, August 9, 2019 at the Heart of America Medical in Rugby.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at the Seventh-day Adventist Church, rural Manfred, ND. Visitation was from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday August 13, 2019 at the church rural Manfred, ND.
Ruben was born on November 21, 1919 at Golden Valley, North Dakota. He was the son of Fred and Katherine (Fischer) Lindeman. Ruben was raised on the family farm. Ruben attended school in Golden Valley and graduated from high school in 1939. Ruben went to work in the apple orchards out west. Ruben was drafted into the Army Air Force on October 23, 1941 and was discharged on December 8, 1945. Ruben then went to auto mechanic school for 10 months. He then worked for the Alfred Tebelius Garage in Harvey for 3 years. Ruben married Delores Faul on November 21, 1956 in Bismarck, ND. Ruben worked for Dahl and Miller in Harvey for 17 years. Ruben moved to Rugby in 1966 and worked for MJ Mcguire for 23 years. He retired in 1989 and spent the winters in Mesa, Arizona for 17 years. Ruben and Delores enjoyed camping, fishing, and traveling. Ruben had a pilots license and enjoyed flying. Ruben moved back to Harvey in 2009. Ruben was a member of the Manfred Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Ruben is survived by his wife, Delores of Harvey; sister, Letsey of Coeur D Alene, ID; numerous nieces and nephews. Ruben was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Edna, Viola, Mardelle, Sonja;
brother, William.
