Funeral services were held Monday, May 20, 2019 at Little Flower Catholic Church Rugby for Ralph Bertsch, 83, who died Thursday, May 16, 2019 at the Heart of America Medical Center – Rugby. The burial was in the Little Flower Catholic Cemetery in Rugby, ND.

Ralph was born April 14th 1936, son of Peter and Helga (Stensholt) Bertsch. He was raised in the Orrin area where he eventually took over the family farm. He graduated from Rugby High School, class of 1954. After years on the farm, he drove

truck for Mayo Construction for 25 years. Ralph was married to Virginia Klein with whom he had 4 children: Jody (Randy) Meservey, Jason Bertsch, Craig (Stacy) Bertsch, and Michelle Bertsch. He then married Regina Kraft on June 7th, 1974 with whom he had 1 child, Cheri (Tom) Kleespie. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gambling, and playing the accordion and organ.

He is survived by Jody, Craig, Michelle, Cheri, and several grandchildren. He is preceded by his parents; wife, Regina Bertsch; sisters, Marian Wentz, Hilda Brooks, and Dolores Pfeifer; brothers, Edward Bertsch and Wilfred Bertsch; and son Jason Bertsch.
