Harlan Craig Thompson

Harlan Craig Thompson, the son of Thoralf and Ruth (Solberg) Thompson was born July 31, 1948 in Rolette, North Dakota. He died at the age of 70 years on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at the Trinity Medical Center in Minot, North Dakota.
Harlan was raised in the rural Wolford home of his parents and graduated from Wolford High School. He completed his education at the North Dakota School of Science
in Wahpeton in electronics and at the Hanson Trade School in Fargo for auto body repair. Harlan farmed for a time following his Dad’s death and later went on to working at a Chevrolet dealership in Lansford, Dunseith body shop and Harlow’s bus service in Rolette. He also operated an independent tow service with “AAA” for many years. His final job was with Ingra Casting in Cando until it closed in 2005. He enjoyed the challenge of bringing an old vehicle back to life, deer hunting, fishing and being with family and friends.
He is survived by one brother, Bruce Thompson of Hankinson and a sister, Arliss Wells of Pleasanton, California; nephews, Wayne Thompson of Rolette, Mike Thompson
of Nebraska, Kevin (Cara) Thompson, Starkweather, Brian (Christy) Thompson of Park River and Jase Wells of San Francisco, California; nieces, Lisa Thompson (Roger Stone) of Hankinson and Crista (Wells) Swenson of Chandler, Arizona; several great nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside Memorial services will be held in the Ox Creek Cemetery, rural Rolette in the spring of 2019 Notice will be announced prior to the service in the spring.
