Bonnie (Iverson) Lang

Aug. 8, 1955 – Mar. 20, 2018

Bonnie Iverson Lang, 62, Towner, died Tuesday, March 20, 2018 in Minot. Bonnie was born August 8th, 1955 in Bantry, ND to Orrin and Agnes (McCombs) Iverson. Bonnie graduated from Towner High School in 1973 and married Monte Lynnes the following September. They had 2 children, Christie and Dennis during their 7 year marriage and lived in Guam, Minot and Montana. She returned to Rugby with her daughter, where she worked at Leevers for 5 years. She reunited with Monte in

Minot, then she completed her Associate’s degree from Minot State University in 1992. While raising her step-son Louis, she worked at M&H Gas in Minot, Minot State

University, and other locations. In 2007 Bonnie returned home to Towner to care for her dad and mom both in their home and in conjunction with their stays in Heart of America Nursing Facility in Rugby. She continued to care for them until their deaths in 2015 and 2017, respectively. Upon returning to Towner, she met her current husband, Arnold, and they were married June 28th 2014. Together they enjoyed traveling and working on the ranch. Bonnie also enjoyed her time working at the Towner State Nursery.

Bonnie was always the first to step in to care for those who needed her, especially her parents and grandchildren. She also took advantage of every opportunity to travel and seek new adventures, whether it was exploring the streets of downtown London, hanging with the locals on the beach in Guam, hitting the slots in Vegas, or visiting relatives in California, Texas and Colorado. She was quick to try new things and she valued her independence and freedom. Many would describe her as a

free spirit with striking blue eyes and a laugh that would fill a room. She enjoyed being around people and valued her social time. She was friendly, outgoing, and thought of the needs of others before worrying about her own needs. She, like both her parents, loved music. She often played piano and organ for local events and in the home for pleasure. Family get-togethers usually involved music, and her home was often filled with the sound of her piano playing.

Bonnie is survived by her husband Arnold, her two children Christie Lynnes Colorado Springs, Colorado and Dennis Lynnes – Rugby, her step-son Louis Sasse – Rugby, her brothers Richard (Barbara) Iverson Tilton, IIllinois and Dean (Joy) Iverson – Towner, her five grandchildren, Matthew , Rachael, Lara, Danika, and Dillon, and numerous other friends and family members.

Funeral services will be held at Zion Lutheran Church in Towner on Wednesday, March 28th at 2:00 P.M. Vernon Larson and Sharon St. Aubin will provide music and

Rev. Linda Wimmer and Wallace Fretland will officiate. Randy Anderson, Wanda Haugen, David Jaeger, Lynn Kongslie, Lila Larson, and Jim Thom will serve as active
