Eugenia Vetsch 94 of Harvey died Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at the St. Aloisius Nursing Home in Harvey.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 16, 2017 at the St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Harvey at 10:30 a.m.
Visitation is Sunday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m with prayer services at 7 p.m. at Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey, ND.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Eugenia was born on February 12, 1922 in Wellsburg, ND. She was the daughter of Joe and Anna (Thomas) Keller. She grew up and attended school in Wellsburg and
for two years in Maddock. She married Ferdinand Vetsch on November 3, 1943 in Selz. They farmed in Anamoose for a time and then moved to Selz. They moved to Harvey in 1968. She worked at the S & L Store and later at the St. Aloisius Hospital as a dietary aid until she retired. Ferdinand died on November 30, 1976. She
continued to live in Harvey. Eugenia enjoyed croqueting, quilting, walking, playing cards, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the St. Cecilia Catholic Church and altar society.
Eugenia is survived by daughters, Ann (Daniel) Lemer of Minot, Elaine (Delanis) Vetter of Harvey; sons, Jerry Vetsch of Aztec, New Mexico, Gerald Vetsch of Harvey and
Clyde (Lou) Vetsch of Horace; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brothers, Wilfred Keller of Harvey, Tom Keller of California; sister, Helen Meier of Harvey. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Clara Vetsch; sister, Bertha Schneider, brothers, Joe C. Keller and Ervin Keller.
