Regina J. Bertsch, 82, of Rugby died December 13, 2016 in Rugby.
Regina was born on January 18, 1934 on a farm in Rolette County North Dakota to Alexander and Rosina (Ripplinger) Kraft. She was united in marriage to Martin Vetsch in 1952 and this union was dissolved in 1969. Regina married Ralph Bertsch on June 7, 1974 in Fessenden, North Dakota. She worked in several places in Rugby over the years. Mrs. Bertsch worked as a CNA at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Rose’s Cafe, and at the Haaland Home where she retired in the late 1980’s
She enjoyed crocheting, going to the casino, and cooking for her family.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph and her children, Daniel Vetsch – Rugby, Rodney Vetsch, Lori and her husband K.D., Domina Chapman, Kansas; and Cheri and her husband Thomas Kleespie – Rugby. She also leaves two brothers William and Alex Kraft, Jr both of Rolette; and two sisters Martha Thingvold Lemmon, South Dakota and Rosie Dokken Leeds. Mitchell Domina, Thomas (Kasandra) Kleespie III, and Brittney and Allyson Kleespie will miss their grandmother who took great care of the Kleespie children as they grew up.
She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Vetsch in 1988 and a granddaughter, Melissa Vetsch in 1985. Brothers Walter and Frank Kraft and sisters, Francis Houim, Marian Hackman, and Julia Thompson preceded her in death and her parents.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 16, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Little Flower Catholic Church with Rev. T.T. Paulraj officiating. Pam Anderson and Allyson
Kleespie will provide music. Casketbearers will be Kory Dokken, Lanny Hackman, Bob & Ken Houim, Thomas Kleespie III, and Tim Kraft.
Burial will be in the spring at Little Flower Cemetery Rugby, North Dakota
Visitation will be on Friday morning from 8-10 AM at the funeral home only.
