Frank Faller

Frank Faller, the son of John and Veronica (Lauinger) Faller was born on February 9, 1930 in Verendrye, North Dakota. He died at the age of 86 years on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 following a

brief illness, at the St. Aloisius Medical Center in Harvey, North Dakota.

Frank was raised in the home of his aunt and uncle near Karlsruhe following the death of his mother when he was 3 years old, He received his education in a country school. Frank worked various jobs in construction, honing a skill in carpentry. In 1952, he was drafted into the U.S. Army and served most of his tour of duty in Germany. He was honorably discharged in 1954 and

returned to North Dakota where he worked road construction. On November 27, 1958 he was united in marriage to Rose Mary Ripplinger in Balta and the couple made their home in Esmond. Frank worked for the Minnewaukan Lumber Yard and later took the custodial position at the Esmond School until its closing. The couple then moved to Drake where he once again did custodial work at their school. Frank accepted the management position for the East Side Village apartments in Rugby and remained there until his retirement. For the past 13 years, the couple have made their home in Grafton and were in the process of moving to Harvey at the time of his death. Frank enjoyed carpentry, bowling in the Esmond League and was an avid fisherman and card

player.

He is survived by his wife, Rose of Grafton; two daughters, Nancy (Tim) Tostenson of Harvey and Connie (Milo) Johnson of Fargo; a son, David (Sue) of Davenport; 5 grandchildren, Crystal (Bryon) Hornbacher of Fessenden; Jarred (Kara Ziegenhagen) Faller of Fargo; Katrina Johnson of Fargo; Danielle Faller of Fargo and Rachel Faller of Minneapolis, Minnesota; 6 great-grandchildren, Tyjah, Kyri, Marissa, Caleb, Serenity and Faith; a sister, Terry (Carl) Kriedeman of Burien, Washington and sister-in-law, Delores Mitzel of Esmond.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Anna; brother Peter; half-brother, Joe Mitzel; sister-in-law, Ronnie; and Daughter-in-law, Deb (Anderson) Faller.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 2nd in the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel in Rugby. Burial with Military Honors Accorded will be in the Persilla Watts Cemetery, Rugby. Father Tom Graner, officiate.
