Memorial services will be held today at 1 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home chapel in Rugby for Keith Allan “Twid” Hanson, 58, who died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2016, at his home in Rugby.
A private family burial will be held.
Keith was born Oct. 9, 1957, in Grand Forks, a son of Howard & Alice (Leach) Hanson. He was raised in his parents’ home in Grand Forks. The family moved to Cando in 1959, and he graduated from Cando High School in 1976. On Aug. 19, 1978 he married Tonnie Swenson. They moved to Wahpeton, where he attended the School of Science. He worked at Wil-Rich Welding for a time. He worked at the Leonardo Pasta Plant in Cando. He moved to California to work as a seismographer before returning to North Dakota in 1987. He moved to Rugby in 1988, working as a seasonal welder. He was employed at Lotvedt Construction Company.
He is survived by his sons, Cory and Josh, Bozeman, Mont.; brother, John Ostby, Reynolds; sister, Karen Moffet, Killarney, MB; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Rev. Nathan Steen will officiate.
