Pauline Ottilia Eberle, 98, Minot and formerly of Rugby, died on Monday, October 26, 2015 in a Minot hospital with her loving family at her side.
Pauline was born on February 22, 1917 on a farm in Orrin, ND to Frank and Ottilia (Hager) Burgard. As a youngster she moved with her parents to a farm near Leeds, ND and attended Girard Lake #2 Country School.
Pauline married Frank Eberle on September 19, 1938 in Leeds, ND. They made their home near Esmond where they farmed and in Esmond where she was employed as the Esmond School Custodian and at Wolf Hardware Store. Following their retirement they moved to Rugby, but spent the winter months in Arizona. Later, they moved to Minot. Frank died on November 4, 2011. During the past four years Pauline lived in Glasgow, MT for one year before returning to Minot.
Pauline was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church – Minot and a former member of Little Flower Catholic Church – Rugby and St. Boniface Catholic Church – Esmond. She was a former member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary #4251 in Esmond, Confraternity of Christian Mothers in Rugby and Fillmore Homemakers Club. She especially enjoyed crocheting, fishing, puzzles and needlework.
Pauline’s loving family includes her children: Virginia (Roger) Grigsby of Omaha, Marjorie (Glen) Monson of Glasgow, Frank (Lucy) Eberle of Yakima WA, Paulette (Brian) Hannig of Denver, Sharon Eberle of Winnemucca NV, Karon (Jerome) Schneider of Bismarck, Donna Hilzendager of Minot and Clayton (Donna) Eberle of Sandy OR; thirty grandchildren, fifty-four great grandchildren; thirteen great great grandchildren; siblings: Eusabuis (Barbara) Burgard, Dorothy (Leonard) Goetz, and Terri Levitt and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter: Colleen Neis and siblings: Anton, Casper, Raymond, Michael, Emil, Frank, Barbara, Marion and Julie.
Mass of Christian Burial: Thursday, October 29, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church – Minot.
Vigil Prayer Service: Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. in the chapel of Thomas Family Funeral Home.
Visitation: Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home – Minot.
Graveside Service: Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in Little Flower Catholic Church Cemetery – Rugby.
Memorials are preferred to the North Dakota Alzheimers Association.
