Funeral services were held Monday at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in rural Manfred, and graveside in the McClusky City Cemetery for Shirley Buchmiller, 77, Harvey, who died Thursday, April 23, at St. Aloisius Hospital in Harvey.
Shirley was born June 9, 1937 in Turtle Lake, a daughter of August & Elsie (Wagner) Walcker. She grew up on the family farm and attended country school. For several years she worked at the City Cafe in McClusky. In 1962, she moved to Harvey, cooking, and eventually owning/operating the cafe there for many years. On May 25, 1968 she married Wilbert Buchmiller in Washburn. She then worked at the Artos Supper Club.
She was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in rural Manfred.
She is survived by a step-son, Donald Buchmiller of Rugby; sisters, Marjie Faul, Harvey; June Clemments, Marshfield, Wis.; brothers, Eugene Walcker, Bismarck; Dennis Walcker, Kingman, Ariz.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; nephew, Keith Faul; brother-in-law, Fred Faul.
