Funeral services were held Monday, March 23, 2015 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Harvey for John F. Keller, 101, Harvey, who died Tuesday, March 17, at St. Aloisius Nursing Home in Harvey.
Burial was in the church cemetery.
John was born March 5, 1914 in Karlsruhe, a son of Joseph & Rosina (Lesmeister) Keller. The family moved to a farm south of Wellsburg, where John grew up and went to school. On October 31, 1939 he married Margaret Zacher in Selz. They purchased a farm west of Esmond. He farmed until retiring in 1991, but continued operating equipment for several years and lived on the farm until he moved to Harvey in 2006. He moved into the St. Aloisius Nursing Home in 2012.
He was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church and the Wells Eagles Aerie in Harvey.
He is survived by his daughters, Eileen Domier, Fargo; Donna Welk, Fargo; Sheila Pedersen, Velva; sons, Dwight, Mapleton; James, Fargo; Kelly, Devils Lake; 28 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; 25 great-great-grandchildren; six step great-grandchildren; four step great-great-grandchildren; sister, Julia Bilke, Carrington; daughter-in-law, Helen Keller, Bismarck; sister-in-law, Lillian Keller, Minot; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; son, Duane; daughter, Judy Goldade; grandsons, Chad Goldade and Brian Keller; five brothers, Adam, Wendelin, Frank, Joe and Casper; four sisters, Catherina Richter, Ann Goldade, Lena Grossman and Rose Schmitz.
