Funeral services were held Friday, Sept. 5, 2014 at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel in Great Falls, Mont., for Lawrence Reyman Volk, 83, Great Falls, who died Monday, Sept. 1 at Peace Hospice in Great Falls.

Burial was in Mount Olivet Cemetery with military honors.

Lawrence was born May 11, 1931 in Rugby, a son of Walter & Elizabeth (Merck) Volk. He received his education in Rugby. He entered the U.S. Air Force and was stationed at multiple bases. He married Marcella Voeller on Aug. 18, 1958. He worked at the commissary at Malmstrom AFB for the civil service, retiring at the age of 67.

He is survived by his sons, Steve, Alan and Donny Volk; daughter, Diane Noble; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; siblings, Casper Volk, Rugby; Agnes Kelly, Dickinson; Theresa Paul, Rugby; Virgil Volk, Oregon; LeRoy Volk and Janice Schmidt of California.

He was preceded in death by his wife; siblings, Regina, Elizabeth, Edward, Herman, Marie and Jerome.
