Bonita Reierson

Funeral servces were held Sunday, May 4. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Esmond for Bonita “Bonnie” J. Reierson, 80, Rugby, formerly of Esmond, who died Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Trinity Medical Center in Minot.

Burial was in the church cemetery.

Bonita was born January 6, 1934 in Esmond, a daughter of Baldwin & Lena (Hammer) Reierson. She attended school in Esmond and Baker, graduating from Baker High School in 1952. For a time, she worked as a waitress at the Coffee Shop cafe in Rugby. She worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone as operator in Rugby, Minot, Denver and Minneapolis. Retiring in 1991, she continued to live in Minneapolis until 2007, when she moved to Rugby. She lived at the Haaland Manor until November 2013, when she became resident of the Heart of America Long Term Care.

She is survived by brothers, Melford, Minot; Gene, Esmond; Butch, Baker; Dan, Minot; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ron.

Pastor Harold Ovre officiated. Music was provided by Ovre and Margaret Toso, organist.

Casketbearers were David Reierson, Devin Reierson, Derek Reierson, Chuck Keller, Lance Hawkins and Joe Griffith.
