Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014 at Blessed Sacrement Catholic Church in West Fargo for Raymond R. Eisenzimmer, 83, West Fargo, who died Sunday, Jan. 26 at Sheyenne Crossings Memory Care in West Fargo.
Burial was in Holy Cross North Cemetery in Fargo.
Ray was born April 30, 1930 in Rolette, a son of Peter & Lena (Gefroh) Eisenzimmer. He spent his early years on a farm in central North Dakota. Ray served in the US Army during the Korean War as a Medical Technician. Following his military service, Ray worked for Great Northern Railroad and later for Burlington Northern Railroad until retiring in 1986.
He is survived by his wife, Delores of West Fargo; daughter, Judy Smoley of Sartell, Minn.; son, Bruce Eisenzimmer of West Fargo; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, Edward Gefroh, Drake.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Viola Johnson; brothers, Leonard and Peter Eisenzimmer.
