Eleanor Edwards

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 15 at First Lutheran Church in Rugby for Eleanor Mae Edwards, 93, Lisbon, formerly of Rugby and Bisbee, who died on Saturday, Oct. 12 at Parkside Lutheran Home in Lisbon.

Burial was in the Bisbee Lutheran Cemetery.

Eleanor was born Aug. 22, 1920 in St. John, a daughter of Fred & Ocie (Wicks) Schroeder. She spent her childhood and received her education in the Turtle Mountain area. In 1942 she married Albert Edwards, and they settled on a farm near Bisbee, where they farmed, raised a family and retired. In 1983 they moved to Rugby.

She is survived by her daughters, Connie Guderjahn of Vergas, Minn.; Linda Sandhei of Vadnais Heights, Minn.; daughter-in-law, Yvonne Edwards, Fargo; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren; sister, Lucille Harrow, LaMirada, Calif.; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Kermit; four sisters, a brother, and her parents.

Pastors Mike Pretzer and Sharon Baker officiated.

Casket bearers were Al Edwards, Peter Sandhei, Ben Edwards, Adam Edwards, Greg Halone and Ray Guderjahn.
