Anita Marian Gunderson, 88, passed away on Sept. 4th. She was born on the farm in Wolford, North Dakota in 1925 to Alrick and Minnie Johnson. She grew up on the farm with brothers Everett, Ansell and sisters Elvira and Hazell. In 1945, she married Burnett J. Ellingson, They had 3 children; two boys, Terry and Roger Ellingson, and daughter, Bonnie Jean Remmick. Her husband’s employment took them to Rugby, Devils Lake and Neche, North Dakota. In 1961 they moved to Coeur D’ Alene, Idaho. In 1970, Burnett and Anita were divorced. In 1971, Anita and Clifford Gunderson were married. Anita worked many years in the health care field while in Coeur D’ Alene. Anita was preceded in death by her husband Clifford, brother Everett, sister Elvira, son, Roger Ellingson, and stepsons, Darrell And Dennis Gunderson. Anita is survived by her brother Ansell, sister Hazell, daughter Bonnie, son Terry and many grandsons and grand -daughters and great-grandchildren, and many nephews, cousins, and nieces. A service is planned for Oct. 5 at 1 p.m. at the Lutheran church in Wolford, North Dakota.
