Alyce Manthey
Alyce Regina Sand Manthey (96) passed away August 15, 2013 at Grancare Nursing Home in Fond du Lac, Wisc. Alyce was born Sept. 4, 1916 on the family farm in Ness Township, Tunbridge, N.D., a daughter of Andrew and Regina (Olson) Sand. She was baptized and confirmed in Tunbridge Lutheran Church and she attended Tunbridge Sand School. She worked in Rugby, Minot and Bismarck, and also in Fond du Lac, Wisc. She married Marlin Manthey on Nov. 29, 1941 in Fond du Lac, Wisc. She was a member of the Church of Peace in Fond du Lac.
Alyce’s loving and caring heart and her love of the Lord was her guide in life. She was a generous, compassionate person. She touched everyone’s lives in a special way and she will be remembered always.
She is survived by son, Stephen Manthey of West Valley City, Utah; nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Marlin, and sisters Anna, Magda, Rachel, Alpha and Emma.
Entombment at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Fond du Lac, Wisc.
