Marjorie Keeling
A mass of Christian burial was held Friday, August 2, 2013 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Walhalla for Marjorie Keeling, 74, Walhalla, who died Monday, July 29, 2013 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks.
Burial was in the church cemetery.
Marjorie was born August 8, 1938 in Fulda, a daughter of Louis & Lena (Marquart) Hoffert. She graduated from high school at Devils Lake, where she also received her nurses’ training. She later worked as a nurse in Bismarck. On December 28, 1960 she married Leo Keeling at Fulda. After their marriage they farmed in the Walhalla area.
She is survived by her husband; children, Larry Keeling, Chandler, Ariz.; Nancy Holm, Hoople; two grandchildren; siblings, Pete Hoffert, Rugby; Agnes Voeller, Vancouver, Wash.; Kay Daugherty, Green Bay, Wisc., Eva Martin, Alexandria, Minn.; Morris Hoffert, Merced, Calif.; Ann Niess, Green Bay, Wisc., and Shelli Larson, Willow City.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Keith; and siblings, Dennis, Marian and Joe.
