Bonnie Jean Fox Teubner was born on July 10, 1931 on her family farm in Leeds, NorthDakota, the daughter of Bernie and Leila (Bremmseth) Fox. She grew up with sisters, Carol (Ritterman) and Janet (Lysne), and brother, Gary Fox. She was baptized and confirmed at Leeds Lutheran Church. She later attended Leeds High School and married Marvin Hanson. They had four daughters–Paula, Lorelie, Deanna and Cynthia. Bonnie married Virgil Teubner on October 23, 1958 and moved to Cando, North Dakota where she worked as a bookkeeper for the local creamery. Together, Bonnie and Virgil had sons Kevin and Kyle Teubner. Bonnie and Virgil moved to their farm south of Bisbee in 1963, where they lived and farmed until Virgil passed away. Bonnie was an avid member of the local curling club as well as a member, for many years, of the North Dakota Horse Show Association. She was a long time member of the Vistarian Club and a member of Bisbee Lutheran Church. Bonnie worked as an auction sales clerk for her husband’s auction business for many years. She also worked on the family farm during harvest and spring’s work. Bonnie groomed the family’s horses and organized their equipment in preparation for horse shows in North Dakota and bordering states where her horses won many top awards. While Bonnie was hardworking, she loved to celebrate with friends and family and was often identified as “the life of the party.” She had the ability to laugh at herself and counted spending time with her children and grandchildren as her chief blessing in life. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Paula and Gary College, Lorelie and Steve Rekkedahl, Deanna Pierson and Cynthia Jelsing, as well as her son, Kyle, and his wife Karmen. She is also survived by her brother, Gary Fox, as well as 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Teubner, parents, Bernie and Leila Fox, sisters, Carol Ritterman and Janet Lysne, as well as son, Kevin Teubner, and son-in-law Daryl Jelsing.
