Joyce

Peterson

Joyce Ann Peterson, 84, died July 31, 2012, at Highmore Health Center in Highmore, SD.

Joyce Ledbury, the daughter of Frank and Nettie Ledbury, was born on October 25, 1927, in Sarles, ND. She grew up in the Sarles and Wolford, ND, areas and graduated from Wolford High School. Joyce was united in marriage to Raymond Peterson in June 1945. They made their home on a farm near Wolford where they raised their four sons. In the mid-1970s, they moved into Wolford.

Joyce was an active member of the Wolford Lutheran Church before moving into the nursing home. She enjoyed painting landscape pictures and also enjoyed fishing with her family.

Joyce is survived by her sons, James of Eagan, MN; Roger (Susan) of Fargo, ND; David (Melva) of Highmore, SD, and Jon (Cindy) of Carrington, ND. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren. Joyce is survived by two brothers, Paul (Barbara) Ledbury of St. Cloud, MN, and David (Joan) Ledbury of Grand Forks, ND, and sister-in-law June Ledbury of Minot, ND.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband Raymond, her parents, brother Gene Ledbury, and daughters-in-law Linda (James) Peterson and Karen (David) Peterson.

The memorial service will be Saturday, August 4, 2012, at 11:30 a.m. at the Wolford Lutheran Church in Wolford. A private burial will be held in the afternoon.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Compassionate Care Hospice Foundation or to Wolford Lutheran Church.

Anna

Selensky

Funeral services were held Thursday, August 2, 2012 at Little Flower Catholic Church in Rugby for Anna Marie Selensky, 94, Rugby, who died Sunday, July 29 at the Heart of America Medical Center in Rugby.

Burial was in the Little Flower Church Cemetery.

Anna was born in rural Orrin, a daughter of Bernhard and Barbara (Hilzendager) Selensky. She started her education in a country school near the family farm and completed her education in Rugby. She worked in the housekeeping department at the Heart of America Medical Center. After her retirement she lived in her home in Rugby until 2006, when she entered the Heart of America Long Term Care Center as a result of a broken hip. In April of this year she suffered a heart attack.

She was a member of the Little Flower Catholic Church.

She is survived by sister, Theresa Bachmeier, Rugby; brothers Fred, Edward and James, all of Rugby; sister-in-laws Rose Selensky and Marie Selensky, both of Rugby; Alice Selensky, Great Falls, Mont., and Ann Selensky of Fargo; brother-in-law Edward Heilman of Balta; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by brothers John, Joseph, Steve and Jacob; sisters, Katherine Grad and Frances Heilman; brother-in-law Louie Grad; and her parents.

Father Tom Graner officiated. Music was provided by Angie Deplazes, organist, and Sara Selensky, Joel Selensky, and Shari Selensky, vocalists.

Casketbearers were Kenneth Heilman, Thomas Selensky, Lydell Selensky, Dale Selensky, Dean Selensky and Daryl Selensky.
