James ” Bud” B. Duffey
Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, March 10, 2012 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Esmond for James “Bud” B. Duffey, 66, Quincy, Wash., formerly of rural Esmond, who died at his home on Thursday, March 1.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
James was born March 22, 1945 in Maddock to James and Agnes (Voeller) Duffey. He attended the Isabel Country School, rural Esmond, and graduated in 1963 from the Benson County Agricultural and Training School in Maddock. Bud and his wife, Jenny (Keller) lived and farmed in the Esmond/Maddock area until 1991, then relocated to Quincy. In Quincy he continued his love of farming, working for Webber Farms for the last 20 years.
James is survived by his wife, Jenny, of Quincy; his mother and step-father, Agnes and Virgil Ellingson of Heimdal; five children, Saniel Hoffert, Rhonda Burnett, Danielle Whipple, Coreen McNulty, and Doreen Dick.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Duffey, on Nov. 20, 1965, and numerous other relatives.
Fr. Brian Bachmeier was the celebrant.
