Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 14, 2011, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Rugby, for Glen A. Pfau, 76, of Rugby, who died Nov. 10 at the Heart of America Medical Center in Rugby.
Burial was in Persilla Watts Cemetery, Rugby.
Glen was born Aug. 20, 1935, in Rugby, a son of Edwin and Albertine (Torno) Pfau. He grew up on his parents’ farm west of Upham and attended grade school at Deep River Township School. He graduated from Minot Model High School in 1954. He continued his education at North Dakota State School of Science, graduating in 1956. He started working at M.J. McGuire, Inc., April 1, 1956, as an automotive mechanic. He married Joline Ann Grove Aug. 18, 1957, in Rugby. In 1971 he became a part of the McGuire’s sales force. After 50 years of service to M.J. McGuire, Inc., he retired Jan. 6, 2006.
He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, serving as financial secretary and elder. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #3834 of Rugby and the Loyal Order of Moose in Minot.
He is survived by his wife, Joline, Rugby; children, Sherry Pues, Aiken, S.C., Roger, Fort Collins, Colo., Doug and Mark, both Rugby; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Gordon, Lavern, and Harley.
Rev. Phillip Hannemann officiated. Music was provided by Galen J. Mack, soloist, and Dianne Montonye, organist.
Casketbearers were his grandchildren: Alysia and Wade Bosley, Nicole Melena, Alec, Kurt, Mallory, and Shelby Pfau, and Jasmine Pues.
