Gloria Schneider

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010, at Niewoehner Funeral Home, Rugby, for Gloria Schneider, 76, of Esmond, who died Tuesday, Dec. 21 at Trinity Hospital in Minot.

Spring burial will be in Persilla Watts Cemetery, Rugby.

Gloria was born June 22, 1934, in Sheridan County, near Kief, a daughter of David and Christine (Hess) Knodel. She was raised in the area and graduated from Kief High School in 1952. She attended Minot State Teachers College and taught rural schools for a few years. She married Rudolph Augustine Schneider on Oct. 17, 1957, in Orrin. They raised their family and farmed in Broe Township, Benson County. Rudolph died Feb. 12, 1995.

She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary in Harvey.

She is survived by her children, Trudy McBride, Moorhead, Minn., Shelly Anderson, Newfolden, Minn., Kelly Schneider, Esmond; Corey Weber, Hermosa, S.D., and Cindy Schneider, Esmond; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two brothers, Elmer Knodel, Drake, and Monroe Knodel, Bullhead City, Ariz.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a granddaughter; and a brother, Dennis.

Rev. Deborah Stave officiated. Music was provided by Dianne Montonye, pianist.
