Glen Helm
Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 8, 2010, at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Kent, Minn., for Glen Helm, 64, of rural Kent, Minn., who died Wednesday, Nov. 3 at St. Francis Medical Center in Breckenridge, Minn.
Burial was in St. Thomas Cemetery, Kent.
Glen was born Jan. 29, 1946, in Harvey, a son of Ervin and Minnie (Reichenberger) Helm. He grew up near Martin and attended school there. Following graduation, he attended NDSCS for auto mechanics. After college, he worked for Roble Chevrolet in Harvey. He married Stella Heintz on May 6, 1966, in Orrin. They made their home in Devils Lake and later in Bismarck. Then in 1974, they moved to Colfax followed by a move to a farm near Kent in 1975, where he had been living until his death. He had been employed at Owens Services in Abercrombie since 1974.
He is survived by his wife, Stella, of Kent, Minn.; son, Troy Helm, of West Fargo; daughters, Jess Brandt and Stacie Niesche, Rochester, Minn.; four grandchildren; brother, Vernon, Harvey; sisters, Lillian Breckel, Cooperstown, Lois Stuber, West Fargo, and Marlene Hauser, Harvey.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Eunice Opp.
Fr. Kenneth Popp officiated.
