Mildred Anderson

Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 27, 2010, at Wolford Lutheran Church for Mildred O. Anderson, 81, of rural Rolette, who died Wednesday, Sept. 22 at the Heart of America Nursing Facility in Rugby.

Burial was in Ox Creek Lutheran Cemetery, rural Rolette.

Mildred was born Sept. 13, 1929, in Rolette County, a daughter of William and Alma (Johnson) Beaver. She was raised in the home of her parents in Rolette County and graduated form Rolette High School. Following graduation, she worked as nurses aide at the Good Samaritan Hospital, at the Ideal Cafe, and, later, as a dental assistant for Dr. Harold Vigeland, all in Rugby. She married Kenneth Anderson on Nov. 22, 1952. The couple made their home and farmed south of Nanson. Kenneth died Jan. 30, 1998. She remained on the farm until entering the Heart of America Nursing Facility on June 21, 2010.

She was a member of Ox Creek Lutheran Church until its closing, and, later, a member of Wolford Lutheran Church, where she participated in the ladies’ aid. She was a member of the Sons of Norway and the Swinging Singles Club.

She is survived by three sons, John, Fargo, and James and Jerry, both of Rolette; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Anna Tastad and Vera Havig, both of Rolette, and Vi Fish, Bismarck; one brother, Arnold Beaver, Rolette; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, Stanley Beaver.

Pastor Deb Stave officiated. Music was provided LaNae Hartvickson, organist.

Casketbearers were Carl Beaver, Kevin Beaver, Andy Havig, Paul Tastad, Tim Fish, and Scott Beaver.
