Victor Volk
Graveside services will be held Saturday, July 31, 2010, at 10:00 a.m., at Little Flower Cemetery, Rugby, for Victor Volk, age 70, of Silvis, IL, who died Saturday, July 24 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, IA.
Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline, IL. Visitation was from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House (2546 Tech Drive Bettendorf, IA. 52722).
Victor was born March 22, 1940, in Rugby, ND, the son of Phillip and Magdalene (Leier) Volk. He graduated from Rugby High School in 1957. He married Gloria Dokken on December 28, 1963, in Knox, ND. Victor was employed as a manufacturing engineer for International Harvester, retiring in 1986. He was then employed by NWL Controls in Kalamazoo, MI , then for the Frigidaire Company in Conway, AR. Victor received his B.A. from the University of North Dakota. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Moline. Victor was a 3rd Degree Knight of Columbus. He enjoyed boating, friends and family cook-outs, and spending the winters in Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Barbara Tebbitt and granddaughter, Tayler.
