Graveside services were held Friday, July 23, 2010, at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot, for Solveig “Sud” Boen, 75, of Albuquerque, N.M., formerly of Willow City, who died Friday, July 2 in an Albuquerque hospital.

Sud was born July 19, 1934, in Willow City, a daughter of John and Ida (Hamre) Boen. She was raised in Willow City and graduated from Willow City High School in 1952. She continued her education at Jamestown College, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. She worked in Fargo, Sidney, Neb., and Albuquerque, until her retirement in 2000.

She is survived by her brother, Gordon, of Longmont, Colo., and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Joseph; and sister, Esther Getzlaff.
