Carol Olson

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 17, 2010, at 11:00 a.m., at Little Flower Catholic Church, Rugby, for Carol Olson, 48, of Fargo, formerly of Rugby, who died Tuesday, July 13 at MeritCare Palliative Care Unit in Fargo.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Carol was born Feb. 10, 1962, in Devils Lake, a daughter of Donald and Marjorie (Wentz) Olson. She was raised in the home of her parents in rural Wolford and rural Balta. She attended school in both communities, graduating from Balta High School in 1980. Following high school, she married Daniel Uhlenkamp. They lived in several places including Devils Lake, Grand Forks, Minot, Minnesota, and Fargo. The couple later dissolved their marriage. Over the years, she worked as a waitress, CNA, and cashier. Her last employer was SunMart Grocers in Fargo.

She was member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Fargo.

She is survived by her parents, Donald and Marjorie, Balta; four sisters, Luann Johnson, Wolford, Connie Grove, Rugby, Judy Muffenbier, Minot, and Cheryl Goldade, Harvey; two brothers, James, Fargo, and Ronald, Hazen; and nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Karen Olson and Donna Nelson; two grand-nephews, Daysun Gross and Sean Muffenbier; and her grandparents.

Fr. Tom Graner will officiate. Music will be provided by Steve Mueller, vocal leader/cantor, and Glenda Mack, organist.

Casketbearers will be Dusten Johnson, Darrick Johnson, David Muffenbier, Mike Graner, Ross Olson, Justin Olson, Joe Brown, and Tim Cartwright.

Visitation will be held prior to services on Saturday from 9-10:30 a.m. at Anderson Funeral Home.
