Frank Selensky

Funeral services were held Monday, June 21, 2010, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Selz, for Frank L. Selensky, 74, of Harvey, who died Friday, June 19 at St. Aloisius Nursing Home in Harvey.

Burial was in the church cemetery.

Frank was born June 14, 1936, in Harvey, a son of John and Mary Eva (Keller) Selensky. He grew up on the family farm north of Selz, and attended school in Selz. He entered the National Guard in October 1958, and received his basic and advanced training at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo. He returned home in April 1959. He married Rose Kremer on Sept. 19, 1960, in Balta. The couple farmed north of Selz. He was honorably discharged from the N.D. National Guard in 1964. He retired in 1996, and the couple moved to Harvey.

He was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Harvey, the Catholic Order of Foresters, the Wells Eagles Aerie, and the American Legion. He was a former member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Selz.

He is survived by his wife; four daughters, Brenda Vetter, Harvey, Laurie Schmitz, Minot, Sheila Vandal, Langdon, and Tammy Schmitz, Bowdon; two sons, Ron and Ken, both of Harvey; 16 grandchildren; four sisters, Eva Vetter, Minot, Barbara Kline, Everett, Wash., Helen Hoffert, Rugby, and Angeline Goldenbeck, St. Cloud, Minn.; and a brother, Tony, Anaconda, Mont.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Rose Hoffert, Marie Laturnus, and Katie Selensky; and two brothers, Rochus and Ray.
