Yvonne Beaver

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 5, 2010, at 11:00 a.m., at Ebenezer Lutheran Brethren Church in Rolette, for Yvonne M. Beaver, 79, of Rolette, who died Wednesday, March 30 at the Rolette Community Care Center.

Burial will be in Rolette City Cemetery.

Yvonne was born Jan. 11, 1931, in Garrison, a daughter of Nels and Gladys (Hanson) Nelson. She was raised on a farm in rural Garrison and attended grade school in a country school and high school in Garrison. She attended Minot State Teachers College. She married Duane Beaver on Sept. 30, 1951, in a country church near Raub. The couple farmed near Rolette, and she was an administrative assistant for Beaver Crop Insurance.

She was a member of Ebenezer Lutheran Brethren Church, its WMF, the Homemakers Club, and the Sons of Norway. She also served as a 4-H leader.

She is survived by her children, Diane Losnegard, Seattle, Dorice Duchscherer, Rugby, and Andy, Norvin, and Art, all of Rolette; eight grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; 10 step-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bernard and Narlon, both of Garrison; and a sister, Anna Mae Fuller, Minot.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Pastor Joel Davis will officiate.

Casketbearers will be Cordell Beaver, Roger Beaver, Alvis Beaver, Tarris Johnson, Jay Heinz, and Warren Anderson.

Visitation will be held Sunday, April 4 from 6-7:30 p.m. at the church with a family service at 7:30 p.m.
