Janice Weinmann
Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 8, 2010, at Little Flower Catholic Church in Rugby, for Janice Elaine Weinmann, 70, of Rugby, who died Tuesday, Feb. 2 at home.
Burial will be in St. Cecilia’s Cemetery, Harvey, in the spring.
Janice was born Sept. 20, 1939, in Harvey, a daughter of Henry C. and Helen (Grossman) Schmidt. She was raised in the home of her parents in Martin, Wimbledon and Harvey. She graduated from Harvey High School. She completed her education at Minot State Teachers College, and then worked as a secretary in Harvey. She married Florian Weinmann on June 30, 1962, at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church in Harvey. The couple made their home in Harvey, and in 1964, they moved to Rugby. She worked at various businesses in Rugby over the years, most recently in housekeeping at Johnson Clinic.
She was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of America – Rugby Court, the Confraternity of Christian Mothers, the rosary makers, and was a past member of the Rugby Bowling Association.
She is survived by one son, Monte, of Bismarck; her husband of Rugby; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Leonard Schmidt.
Fr. Tom Graner officiated. Music was provided by Kathy Voeller, vocalist, and Angie Deplazes, organist.
Casketbearers were Paul Bodine, William Bodine, Louie Arnold, Jeff Zainhofsky, Mike Wolf and Pat Wolf.
