Funeral services were held Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2009, at Little Flower Catholic Church, for Robert “Bob” Bosch, 75, of Rugby, who died Friday, Nov. 27 near Rugby.

Burial was in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Knox.

Bob was born March 3, 1934 in Knox, a son of Simon J. and Frances (Hoffert) Bosch. He was raised in the rural Knox home of his parents and graduated from Knox High School, the class of 1952. Following high school, he worked on the family farm. He married Joan (Garman) Heilman in November of 1967. The couple made their home southwest of Knox in Iowa Township, Benson County. He was a lifelong farmer. In 2008, the couple moved to Rugby.

He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Knox, and the Knights of Columbus Council #4136 of Rugby.

He is survived by his wife, Joan; children, Fran Harmel of International Falls, Minn., Simon Bosch of Minot, Jay Bosch of Knox, Valerie Heggeness of Fargo, Charlotte Simon of Oberon, Linda K. Duchscher and JoClaire Halvorson, both of Rugby, Michael Heilman of Bismarck, Rodney Heilman of Jamestown, and Lori Dalen of Moorhead, Minn.; 25 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Elizabeth Miltenberger and Darlene Zacher, both of Rugby; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers, Leo, George, Edward, Peter, Leonard and Joseph; and three sisters, Helen, Margaret and Lena.

Fr. Tom Graner Officiated. Music was provided by Heidi Simon, soloist, and Angie Deplazes, organist.

Casketbearers were Ron Miltenberger, Jerry Miltenberger, Colin Bosch, Anthony Bosch, Neil Bosch, Gerald Burkhartsmeier, Fritz Wolf and Joe Black.
