Darvin Sharratt

Funeral services were held Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Fargo, for Darvin Sharratt, 74, of West Fargo, formerly of Rolette, who died Sunday, Nov. 1 at Innovis Hospital, Fargo.

Burial was in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo.

Darvin was born June 9, 1935 in Rolette, a son of Erwin and Leah (Boucher) Sharratt. He grew up on the family farm and attended rural school before graduating from Rolette High School. Following high school, he attended Minot State University. He married Maxine Sveum on Oct. 11, 1959 in Rugby. They lived in Cando, Cooperstown and Fargo. From 1966 to 2006, he had an auto repair business in Fargo and West Fargo.

He is survived by his wife, Maxine; daughter, Janet Stebner, West Fargo; son, Jerome, Fargo; sister, Sandra Gilje, Rolette; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Donald; and granddaughter, Jessica Howard.
