Mark Haagenson
Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 30, 2009, at Valle Lutheran Church in Rolette, for Mark Haagenson, 43, of Minot, who died Monday, Oct. 26 at Trinity Medical Center.
Burial was in Ox Creek Lutheran Cemetery, Rolette.
Mark was born April 8, 1966 in Rolette, a son of Milton and Lois (Johnston) Haagenson. He grew up in the area and graduated from Rolette High School in 1984. He attended the University of North Dakota. He married Natalie Jean Dohlen on June 1, 1991 in Rolette. The couple moved to Wahpeton where he worked at Primeboard for 16 years. While in Wahpeton, he helped start a football program at Richland High School in 2003. He was an assistant football coach for five years. In 2007, they moved to Minot where he worked for DXP and lastly at Oilind Company.
He was a member of First Lutheran Church in Minot.
He is survived by his wife, Natalie, and two daughters, Melora Rae and Melaine Lou, all of Minot; parents, Milton and Lois, Rolette; father-in-law, Gordon Dohlen, and step-mother-in-law, Carol, Rolette; mother-in-law-Dorothy Dohlen, Roswell, Ga.; two sisters, Kristie Dionne, Rolette, and Linda Danielson, Humboldt, Iowa; a brother-in-law, Chad Dohlen, Danielle Dohlen and Cathie Logan; and other relatives and friends.
Rev. John K. Hesford and Rev. Mike Pancoast officiated. Music was provided by the congregation with Margaret Wittmeyer as organist.
Casketbearers were Nathan Byre, Chad Dohlen, Brad Edwardson, Lonnie Erbes, Lloyd Haagenson, Randy Schell, Curt Schillinger, Danny and Randy Selvig, and Brian Wolf.
