Lorenz Rosenau
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2009, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Willow City, for Lorenz Walter Rosenau, 85, who died Thursday, Oct. 8, 2009, at Trinity Medical Center.
Burial was in Willow City Memorial Park Cemetery.
Lorenz was born May 15, 1924 in Mouse River Township, McHenry County, a son of Otto Theodore and Maria Louise (Pick) Rosenau. He grew up in the area and went to school there. He ranched in the area for over 50 years. He moved to Willow City in the mid-1980’s. For many years he was a representative of the Delano and Kohlmann Monument Companies. He married Irene Marie Erdmann Bean on March 28, 1994 in Willow City.
He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and served on its council.
He is survived by his wife, Irene of Willow City; three daughters, La Donna Schreiber of Minot, Paulette Sattherthwaite of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Tammie Lamb of Casper, Wyo.; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a sister, Helen Finster of Corvallis, Ore.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Michele Dissette in 2004; and a brother, Clarence.
Rev. Phillip Hannemann officiated. Music was provided by the congregation, with Debi Hartvikson as organist.
Casketbearers were Georgette Bradley, Sheldon Bradley, Curtis Dissette, Jordon Dissette, Thomas Lamb and Chuck Schreiber.
